At SafeBase, it’s been a transformative year. One that has proved to our team that trust among enterprise companies is no longer a nice-to-have — it’s a permanent fixture of enterprise relationships. And we believe this transformation is just beginning.
As we look back on 2023, we’ve made some big strides as a business and we’re excited to share what SafeBase has accomplished this year.
Two million Trust Center views
We’re proud to announce that SafeBase Trust Centers have amassed a combined two million views this year — more than tripling the figure from the year before. Meanwhile, average Trust Center views amongst our customers more than doubled from 1,500 to more than 3,200 views per year! To us, these dramatic figures reflect a rapidly growing interest across enterprise security leaders in improving the traditional security review process.
The enterprise cybersecurity risk assessment is now ubiquitous — and can no longer be approached in the ad hoc, cumbersome manner it’s come to be known for. Hitting the milestone of two million annual Trust Center views demonstrates that a growing number of enterprise organizations want something better. These companies are putting technology to work for them to create a more sustainable, user-friendly process that reduces the security review burden for both sellers and their buyers. We’ll keep cheering them on.
SafeBase company and customer growth achieve new highs
As the demand for zero-friction security reviews has grown, so has SafeBase: we more than doubled our headcount in the past year with significant investments in R&D, product, design, sales, marketing, and customer success. In September, we also announced our acquisition of Stacksi, the AI-powered security questionnaire automation platform.
Meanwhile, our customer base more than doubled in the past year, including the addition of some of the most well-known enterprises in AI, financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, and cybersecurity. SafeBase’s customer list now includes companies such as Brex, Celonis, Lyft, DataStax, and hundreds more.
Product investments propel customers toward zero-friction security reviews
On the product front, we made significant investments in our technology, with the addition of features designed to further streamline the security review process and reduce the need for a security questionnaire. These include an Advanced Analytics suite to connect security reviews with revenue, a public-facing Knowledge Base to more proactively share cybersecurity information with buyers, and workflow automation features, including the addition of webhooks.
In November, we became the industry’s most robust security review platform with the launch of AI Questionnaire Assistance. The feature leverages the wealth of knowledge in a customer’s Trust Center – including responses to past security questionnaires – to find and generate answers to unavoidable questionnaires. As a result, the time and manual effort required to complete necessary security questionnaires by 80% or more.
Forging connections with cybersecurity communities
Above and beyond the expansion of our product, we continued to make investments in the evolution of the cybersecurity community with the launch of Women in Trust and our Trust Alliance customer community.
In October, our team hosted the inaugural Women in Trust Summit in San Francisco, bringing together female leaders in cybersecurity, privacy, GRC, and legal from around the world. The day-long event established SafeBase’s commitment to this growing community, which will come together several times a year virtually and in person to network, collaborate, and share best practices in trust.
Made up of more than 100 members, the SafeBase Trust Alliance is a customer community for cybersecurity leaders to get advice and share ideas as they advance their companies’ enterprise trust programs. Launched in May, the Trust Alliance brings together leaders from organizations like Gitlab, Palantir, HubSpot, Abnormal Security, LinkedIn, Confluent, Datadog, G2, and more, in an interactive community forum. We’re thrilled to support this growing group on the journey to the future of enterprise trust.
We applaud the trust-minded customers that make it possible
We’re immensely proud of the milestones our team has achieved over the past year. Of course, we also have to acknowledge our customers for being on this journey with us — helping shape our roadmap, finding new and innovative ways to be transparent with buyers, and reinforcing the value of proactivity in enterprise relationships. Thank you for all of your support in 2023. Let’s keep changing the industry together in 2024!
