What role do you play at SafeBase?

I am SafeBase's Solution Engineer. As a Solutions Engineer, knowing the technical capabilities of our product, I act as a liaison between sales, the customer, and the solutions to the challenges that our platform solves.

How did you land at SafeBase?

I was on the job hunt and a colleague mentioned new companies attending the 2022 RSA conference. After a quick Google, the first article was "RSA's hottest security startups of 2022". I'll be completely honest, I think I submitted a resume for every company on that list.

I was interviewing left and right, with a few different offers on the table, but in the end, SafeBase seemed like the perfect fit.

Who on the team inspires you the most?

I don't think I could narrow this down to a single person. The endless optimism and dedication from everyone at SafeBase is something you don't see often. Even the smallest idea or thought is encouraged to be explored.

What resonates with you the most about our company culture?

The emphasis on having a healthy work/life balance is amazing.

Being a remote-first company, how do you connect with your colleagues?

We have an entire community that lives in our collaboration tools. Between messaging, video chats, team building services, etc, we are always interacting.

What have you learned about security since working at SafeBase?

I have been an absolute sponge when it comes to new and existing security technologies utilized by different customers. I've learned that every single company does things differently, learning what they use and how they implement their security programs is fascinating!

How do you enjoy your free time?

Spending time with my family is super important. When it isn't super hot here in Georgia, we spend a ton of time outside.

What excites you most about the future of SafeBase?

"As someone who has been on the opposite side of the fence, I've felt the pain of the vendor review and security questionnaire process. The fact that our customers really value transparently sharing their security posture, It’s a great foundation for working with us. The positive feedback we get from our customers, whether it’s from their leadership, security team, sales, or support engineers, it definitely puts a smile on my face"
